7th International Forum DIARY INDUSTRY 2009
8th International Forum MEAT INDUSTRY 2009

            On March 16-19, 2009, Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center will host the 7th International Forum DIARY INDUSTRY 2009 and the 8th International Forum MEAT INDUSTRY 2009 organized by Global Expo Exhibition Company, the Russian Diary Union, the Russian Meat Union, and the Russian Poultry Union, and supported by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

These Forums are the most prestigious events in the meat and diary industries in Russia, during which a development strategy is determined for both industries. The program traditionally includes international exhibitions, workshop conferences, seminars, round table discussions, competitions and excursions.
These Forums are Russia’s only specialized events that represent the full cycle of industrial meat and milk processing technologies in all sectors – from meat and diary raw materials to finished products, including equipment, technologies, certification procedures, transportation, packaging, and storage. Also exhibited will be cleaning facilities for industrial premises, and industrial clothing.

In 2008, over 16,000 experts attended the Forums. It was the first time when the number of visitors from Russian regions surpassed those coming from Moscow and the Moscow Region.  Over 50% of the visitors were top- and medium-level managers and leading experts. More than 400 companies from all over Russia and twenty foreign countries attended the 2008 Forums. The Forums’ program included the first meeting of representatives of Eurasian Diary Unions to discuss post-Soviet space industrial diary associations, and a Business Summit of Diary Leaders. The traditional Third Millennium Technologies showroom displayed innovative equipment and technologies developed for the diary and meat industries.            

The following companies have announced their intention to participate in the Forums 2009: Wimm-Bill-Dann, Danone, Unimilk, Tetra Pak, DeLaval, Tauras-Fenix, Elopak, Schaller Lebensmitteltechnik, Finnpack Systems, Agrotechkoplekt, Sympak Corazza S.P.A., Suddeutsche Lebensmitteltechnik, Slavutich, Stellberg, Agro-3, Westfalia Surge, EuroAgroCenter and others.

The International Forums DIARY INDUSTRY 2009 and MEAT INDUSTRY 2009 will display a full range of innovations and achievements in the industries. This time, invited participants include livestock and farming enterprises and wholesale companies. There are plans to expand considerably the finished products sector and to hold the first Cheese Showroom. The Forums’ business program features the International Meat Summit of key Russian and foreign meat business professionals; a congress of the Russian Diary Union; Diary Success 2009 professional competition for best products; site visits to cattle-breeding and diary farms; conferences on Information Technologies, Biotechnologies and Nanotechnologies; a workshop conference of the DIARY INDUSTRY 2009 Forum comprising sections of financing, taxation, accounting, direct diary products sales, diary herd zootechnical and veterinary attendance, farm construction and maintenance, as well as farm management; seminars and round-table discussions on topics related to diary technologies, mixed-feed market development, diary herd attendance issues, feed production technologies, and fund-raising issues; master classes for senior students of Russian higher educational establishments.

The Forums will be attended by senior officials of federal and regional authorities, executives of specialized international and national organizations, managers and experts of diary and diary farming enterprises, and research and educational establishments.

Informational support to the projects will be provided by major specialized publications, such as Food Industry, Meat Industry, Food Processing, Meat Sphere, All about Meat, Meat Row, Diary Industry, Milk River, Milk Processing, Milk Sphere, etc. The events will be accompanied by a wide-scale advertising campaign. Taking into account requests of participants in the Forums 2008, the organizers have focused on attracting visitors from the Central, Southern, Siberian and Far-Eastern Districts of the Russian Federation, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Apart from their traditional target audience looking for meat and diary products equipment, packaging equipment and feed ingredients, and interested in technologies, logistics, etc., the organizers expect attendance by a large number of representatives of wholesale and retail companies and restaurants.
